When Should You Avoid Lash Lamination?

Lash lamination is a popular procedure that enhances your gaze and makes your lashes look more beautiful. However, there are certain contraindications when it’s better to postpone or completely avoid this procedure.

1. Allergy or Sensitivity to Product Ingredients

If you’ve had allergic reactions to cosmetic products in the past, it’s important to do a patch test beforehand. This will help prevent redness, itching, or swelling around the eyes.

2. Eye Diseases

Lash lamination should not be performed if you have:
– Conjunctivitis,
– Blepharitis,
– Stye,
– Other inflammatory conditions.

First, treat the disease, and only then consider lash lamination.

3. Pregnancy and Lactation

Hormonal changes during this period may affect the results of the procedure. Lamination may be less effective or may not last as long.

4. After Eyelash Extensions

After removing artificial lashes, your natural lashes are likely weakened. It’s recommended to wait 2-3 weeks before lamination, or ideally a month, to give them time to recover.

5. Post-Illness Recovery

If your body is weakened after taking antibiotics or hormonal medications, the results may be unpredictable. Allow your body time to recover before the lamination procedure.

6. Individual Lash Features

Some people have natural lash structures that don’t respond well to lamination. In such cases, the result may be minimal.

7. After Laser Eye Surgery

It’s recommended to wait up to six months after laser vision correction before getting lash lamination.

How to Prepare for the Procedure?
If you’re sure that lash lamination is right for you, follow the recommendations of a professional:
– Avoid using oils or serums a few days before the procedure, preferably a week in advance.
– Consult with the specialist beforehand to rule out possible contraindications.

Remember, health should always be the top priority. If you have any doubts, it’s better to consult with the specialist or a doctor to avoid risks.
